The great platform, the supportive fund of which amounts to as much as 1 billion yuan, is a milestoneproject of collaboration formalized between SEU and the city of Wuxi on integrated circuits, MEMS sensors, flexible electronics, novel materials, characterization. Running on the back of SEU’s Microelectronics School principally and a think tank that is fueled by the intelligence of 8 academicians, this joint infrastructure emphasizes the importance of talent cultivation, research and development activities for companies, and will shoulder the responsibility of aligning academic studies with industrial needs.
It is a project, which is bolstered by SEU's top rated electronic and information discipline resources, to deploy the innovation value chain around the entire industry value chain for educational, research and production purposes.
6 teams instructed by 5 academicians contribute to the development of the center which is principally propped by SEU’s disciplines of electronic science & technology and information science & engineering, with concerted support from dozens of SEU’s first-class disciplines. With its main indicators rated foremost, it will be SEU’s largest platform for talent training and scientific research, and will be an open multidisplinary faclity offering a comprehensive series of processes ranging from design, materials, devices, manufacturing, packaging and testing to system integration, the investment amount of which being the greatest in the country and even world-class.
