The Binhu district’s annual development conference and trade fair of the latter half of 2020 was held from Nov. 18 to 19, and SEU Wuxi President Jin Baosheng was invited to give a keynote speech.

Jin said, the city of Wuxi is famous for its two pillar industries of integrated circuit and Internet of Things, which is a perfect match with some of SEU’s preponderant disciplines. The campus, he promised, will definitely combine efforts from SEU’s schools of electronics, information science, cyberspace security, instrument science, to jointly develop the national demonstrative school of microelectronics. The Taihu Bay Science and Innovation Belt which got initiated quite recently in Wuxi is no doubt a great chance, as highlighted in Jin’s speech, for the campus to promote the integration of its talent cultivation with industrial tech invention.
The event is considered important every year since it is an opportunity for the district to conclude and map out its development, also a great time to sign some big business projects.
For the conference this year, a total of 38 projects were signed, covering many high-end industries such as integrated circuits, life and health, information technology and so on, with a whole investment of more than 38.8 billion yuan, and a platform was launched, where brought-in top talents can finish varied procedures without going all around the city.
