SEU Wuxi team awarded at 11th caped China programming contest

The 11th programming contest for Chinese graduates, took place from From August 17 to 20, 2016, "Huawei cup" - the 11th China graduate electronics design contest final was held in Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zonejiading industrial zone, Shanghai, with a team from Southeast University Wuxi campus (SEU Wuxi) bagging the second prize with the "3D laser engravers for Android" as their program.


Totally, 317 teams from 115 institutions came to compete in the finals and were selected on the basis of their live operation show and presentation, amid the event of this time, which also took the name of "Huawei Cup" programming contest 317 teams from 115 participating units competed on the same stage and showed their elegant demeanor. Under the guidance of professor Li Bing and Dr. Zhang Lin, Huang Ran, Xia Yongzhi and Yang Haiping's team completed the entry "3D laser engraving machine based on Android". Through the on-site demonstration, PPT defense and other aspects in the fierce competition, they finally stood out and won the team's second prize.


The competition is co-sponsored by Ministry of Education Degree and Graduate Education Development Center, National Engineering Postgraduates Education Steering Committee, and Chinese Institute Of Electronics, aimed to give universities and institutes a push to better cultivate their graduate students majoring in information and electronics. It was initiated since 1996 and the first session was run by Tsinghua University in August of the same year. And the event originally came off twice a year and started to be conducted yearly not until the 9th session.

It’s known the competition is a group electronic design creative practice, aim of which is to promote the reform and innovation of the training mode of information and electronics graduate students in universities and research institutesto train the graduate students' practical innovation consciousness and basic ability, the humanistic spirit of teamwork, and the academic style of connecting theory to practice, to promote the training of postgraduate engineering practical ability and create conditions for outstanding talents’ emerging.
