SEU Wuxi and ICCAD sign up to drive IC industry together

Recently, as the first summit forum of the 2018 World Internet of Things Conference, 2018 China IC industry development symposium and the 21st China IC manufacturing annual conference are held in Sheraton Hotel, Wuxi.[Photo from JSSIA]

The event is to give speeches and discussions around the industrial integration with reference to major national strategies and instructions. SEU Wuxi Campus signed an agreement on IC professionals training with China Semiconductor Industry Association IC Design Branch (ICCAD in abbr.) at the ceremony, in the presence of Wang Xudong, head of China Information Technology Industry Federation and former minister and party secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Qiu Gang, deputy inspector of Major Special Projects Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Huang Qin, deputy secretary of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor.

According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly promote IC talent cultivation by sharing their respective resources and establishing a long-term win-win partnership between the two sides, to meet the needs of the society for elite professionals.

The Campus promises to make full use of  the support from ICCAD, and other industrial platforms to stimulate the educational and research programs in the IC aspect, explore to get more bases and platforms for staff and students for practice and international study tours.

The Campus, as stressed, will earnestly  speed up the implementation of the government-university cooperation agreement, and strive to build the campus into a first-class institution of high internationalization, as an impetus to the “First-class university and disciplines” program of SEU and local industrial vitality.
