Agreement signed with Paris Tech

On March 28th, SEU Chien Shiung Wu College and SEU Wuxi Campus signed a joint talent training agreement with Telecom ParisTech (Télécom ParisTech, TPT for short) and ENSTA ParisTech (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, ENSTA in abbr.).

A good many officials from important divisions of the two institutions were present in the signing ceremony to witness this vital moment, including Zhou Youyong, SEU vice president, Elisabeth Crépon, president of TPT, Yves Poilane, president of ENSTA, Zhang Jiwen, managing vice president of SEU Wuxi Campus. Zhou Youyong first gave a warm welcome to the delegations of the two universities. Zhou said the partnership between SEU and TPT started since 2004. In the past 10 years, he highlighted, TPT has been one of the most important international partners of SEU, and also one of the most popular destinations for students to study abroad. With the joint effort of both sides, he hoped they could take this opportunity of the joint talent training agreement and promote the mutual cooperation.

Elisabeth Crepon expressed his appreciation of Zhou’s warm welcome, and he said that recently Chairman Xi visited France and other European countries, which deepened the partnership between Europe and China. So TPT also wanted to strengthen the cooperation with SEU further. He emphasized, TPT and SEU had a long history of cooperation, which accomplished more progress today with the joint efforts from ENSTA, TPT, SEU Chien Shiung Wu College, SEU Electronics School and SEU Wuxi Campus.

After the ceremony, the two sides held further talks. ParisTech is an alliance which brings together excellent Graduate Schools of Engineering & Science in France, working together for the development of common projects in education, research and innovation in the area of science, technology and management.

Founded in 1878, Telecom Paris is the first French university mainly engaged in higher teaching and research of information science and technology. In 2016, it ranked third in the three-year Engineering College of l'usine Nouvelle, a French education magazine, and fourth in all the engineering colleges.

ENSTA Paris, as a member of ParisTech Alliance, belongs to the foremost graduate schools of engineering in France. It offers its students a broad education in engineering with the aim of enabling them to design, carry out and manage complex technical projects. In this view, the institute provides a high-level scientific and technological education, which is constantly updated to keep pace with changes in the leading edge technologies, and supplemented by languages, humanities, and the skills needed in business life such as law, communication, economics, accounting and management.
