SEU (Wuxi) tops the 2nd "Huawei Cup" national chips competition

The second session of “Huawei Cup” China Postgraduate Contest in Chips was staged on between August 3 and 4 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. And the “Revenge Spear”group, Professor Wu Jin being their supervisor, competing on behalf of Southeast University (SEU) Wuxi branch won the first prize in the contest.


There were more than 450 postgraduates of 151 participating teams coming from 41 Chinese key universities including Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, and Xidian University, entering into rivalry.    


The trio team Revenge Spear, under the instruction of Professor Wu Jin from Southeast University, Wuxi Campus, won the first place, one other group the second prize and five ones obtained the third prize.

Composed of three sections, involving Q&A, presentation, and road show, the event was set to grade competitors according to their proficiency in both theories and application.

During the first Q&A phase, all competitors were to give a description highlighting the creativity and practical value in their submitted works in a speech and answer a set of questions from the judges. The teams ranked the top 15 were able to further take part in the booth exhibition session where they may get the final score in this round with respect to the votes by the experts and the audience.

China Postgraduate Contest in Chips, jointly sponsored by China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center(CDGDC)and the China Association for Science and Technology, is one of the major events launched by the China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competitions organization. It echoes the integrated circuit industry development campaign to produce an increasing number of creative talents in the nation. High-level innovative talents training in the field of integrated circuits.
