The 13th International Cooperation Seminar on Information, Production and Systems (ISIPS 2019) which was held in Japan during Nov 20 to 23, giving teachers and students from SEU, Wuxi a chance to appreciate the impressive Japanese academic and social culture.

The conference, was hosted by IPS College of Waseda University, with themed reports and sub-venue discussions made on the basic research and application research in the fields of information and communication model, management and product information system and Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI). There was also a Japanese tea ceremony performance arranged to please all the participants.
Three professors from Waseda, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and National Chiao Tung University were invited to deliver lectures in the opening ceremony, after which the poster Q&A activity were staged on at 8 parallel sessions.

The conference is a great opportunity, a challenge as well, according to students’ feedback, for them to temper their English communication capacities and public speech performance.
They said the seriousness and preciseness Japanese scholars presented in giving questions and opinions was very impressive and inspiring for their future studies.

The conference attracted more than 100 university staff, students and scholars from China, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, the United States, etc. After the selection and voting by the judges, 8 best and 2 encouragement-prize papers were finally picked out and rewarded.
